Brie Bell Goodwin joined Capitol Strategy Group in January 2011 and is currently the Finance Director for U.S. Congressman Austin Scott representing the 8th Congressional District of Georgia.  Congressman Scott served his first term in Congress as President of the Republican Freshman Class for the 112th Congress.  He has since been selected to serve as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy, and Credit of the House Committee on Agriculture along with serving on the House Armed Services Committee.

Goodwin is also heading the fundraising efforts for Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle as the Finance Director for his 2018 campaign for Secretary of State for the State of Georgia.

During the 2014 election cycle, Goodwin also focused on the 1st District of Georgia working as Finance Director for Congressional candidate Dr. Bob Johnson of Savannah, Georgia.

Along with her work in Congressional fundraising, Goodwin also worked alongside the rest of the firm, aiding in fundraising efforts for both the 2012 5th Annual and the 2013 6th Annual Georgia FFA Foundation Blue and Gold Galas.

Goodwin’s political career began in Washington, D.C. with an internship in the Senatorial Page Program in 2004. Sparking an interest in politics, Goodwin carried her experience into a position as a field representative in the office of U.S. Congressman Tom Price (GA-06) in 2009. During her time on staff with Congressman Price, Goodwin worked closely alongside Diana Kincaid and further developed her skills in fundraising and event planning, which eventually led to her start at Capitol Strategy Group.

Goodwin is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. She lives in Dunwoody, Georgia, and enjoys spending time on the beaches of coastal Georgia with her husband Brad and her two children.
