Katie Connell Miller brings fundraising, event planning and campaign experience to Capitol Strategy Group. She joined the firm in 2006 and has since played a key role in raising funds for a large number of projects.

Miller works closely with partners Diana Kincaid and Laura Dunaway, currently focusing on raising funds for the firm's State Senate and House clients. She is also spearheading the firm's fundraising efforts for the 2009 2nd Annual Georgia FFA Foundation Blue & Gold Gala.

During the 2008 election cycle, Miller was the Finance Director for Retired Air Force Major General Rick Goddard's campaign for Congress in Georgia's 8th District, which was one of the top two challenger races in the country. She led all fundraising efforts for the campaign that raised a total of $1.2 million, including two major events with President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

When Miller joined CSG in 2006, she began raising funds for Gary Black's campaign for Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture, coordinating all fundraising events in the months immediately preceding the 2006 mid-term elections. In the following months, she worked to raise funds for the North Carolina Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons Advocacy Fund, as well as worked for State Senator Mitch Seabaugh, having spearheaded his annual Golf Classic in 2007.

Miller's political career began in Washington, D.C. with an internship in the office of Congressman Lynn Westmoreland in 2005. After returning to Georgia, she worked for then-Georgia State Senator Brian Kemp's statewide campaign for Commissioner of Agriculture in Athens.

Miller is a graduate of The University of Georgia, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism majoring in Advertising. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, for which she took several courses at La Universidad de Granada in Granada, Spain. She is originally from Newnan, Georgia, and she now resides in Atlanta and is married to Doug Miller.
