Janet Stacy Newman joined Capitol Strategy Group in 2007. Her primary focus is raising funds for State House Representative Sharon Cooper (Chair of Health and Human Services), Representative Wendell Willard (Chairman of Judiciary), Representative Richard Smith and other state legislative candidates.

Her passion for all things political began at the early age with her family's involvement and support of Georgia politics.

Newman's understanding and appreciation for the political process grew through her college and adult years with involvement on the local and state level. Newman has extensive experience in volunteer fundraising with various college and civic organizations.

Her career as a private educator for nine years developed her abilities in teaching, leadership, organization, and communication. These skills have proven to provide a natural progression in her work at Capitol Strategy Group.

Newman is a graduate of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. She is a member of the Junior League of Atlanta and is married to Alan Newman.
